Cadwalader Wicker-sham & Taft has hired Clifford Chance‘s former managing partner Geoffrey Howe as a consultant in its London office.
Howe, who hit the headlines in March 2002 when he became chairman of Railtrack Group, will advise the firm on its expansion plans for both London and Europe.
This will be the second advisory role Howe has taken within the legal sector – the former Clifford Chance managing partner is also a non-executive board member at Denton Wilde Sapte.
Cadwalader’s London office is the firm’s only office outside the US. It is understood that during 2002, London increased revenue to £25m from £19.8m in the previous year.
Howe declined to comment and Cadwalader was unavailable for comment.
