Alternative dispute resolution organisation the London Dispute Resolution Service (LDRS) has appointed former Law Lord Lord Slynn of Hadley as its new president.

As president of the organisation, Lord Slynn will be an arbitrator and mediator for LDRS. Formed by a group of London solicitors, the service provides alternative dispute resolution both for existing clients and any other party wanting mediation or similar means of solving a dispute.

Lord Slynn’s career has encompassed periods as a Court of Appeal judge and European Court of Justice judge. He is shortly to retire from the Judicial Committee of the House of Lords.

LDRS founder and dispute resolution head at Lee & Pembertons, John Roney, said that Lord Slynn’s experience would be of huge benefit to those who choose him as their mediator.
