A second edition of a guide providing information on the effects of TUPE has been published by City firm Lawrence Graham.
The guide, which has been produced by the firm's Local and Public Authority Unit, will be updated twice yearly by computer disk for local authorities.
It gives the latest position on issues such as the acquired rights directive and the Trades Union Reform and Employment Rights Act 1993.
It also provides practical examples of the effects of TUPE in the public sector.
Unit head Simon Randall, who has more than 20 years experience as a London borough council member, says the service was formed "in response to the bewildering array of interpretations put on TUPE by the Government, industry and local authorities".
