2 Temple Gardens is launching a specialist media and entertainment practice group.
The set’s media practice has been spread across its general commercial practice, technology and construction practice and its banking and finance practice, but will now specialise in a manner more reminiscent of law firms.
Barrister Paul Downes, who is heading the new group, said: “We’ve found that our clients expect an increased commitment to specialisation, and by setting up a dedicated practice group we’ll be better able to meet this demand. Our overall objective is to be the number one set of chambers practising in this field.”
The group of five barristers will target issues affecting television, film, music, sport and the press. The members have particular experience in applying for and resisting urgent injunction applications, advising on contractual and confidentiality issues, as well as more general IP and professional tribunal work.
