Weightman Vizards has posted a 9 per cent hike in revenues to £30.3m but suffered another loss to its Liverpool real estate team.
Construction partner Andrew Davies will move to rival North West firm DWF in August. He will be reunited with commercial property partner Lynne McFaul, who joined DWF in May, as well as associates Rhys Vaughan-Williams and Heidi Mayer, who left Weightmans earlier this year.
The losses come just months after Mark Forman, Neil Kelly and James Powell quit to form a commercial, media and IP boutique in Liverpool.
DWF head of property Andy Green said: “We’re very excited about the chance to expand our property department in general, and the Liverpool office in particular.”
McFaul added: “It’s been a very positive move for me and has lived up to my expectations.”
Weightmans senior partner Ian Evans said the departures were consistent with the firm’s ongoing restructuring. Earlier this year, five equity partners were “managed out”. Davies and McFaul were both salaried partners.
