The Lawyer is holding its fourth annual chambers management seminar this month to tackle the raft of difficult issues facing the Bar today.
“It will be a very hands-on workshop looking at how chambers should best align themselves in the face of current market forces and Government restrictions,” says Chris Owen, senior clerk at 9 Bedford Row and chairman of this year's seminar.
The event features high-profile speakers, such as Angela Griffiths, practice development manager at Devereux Chambers, and Kingsley Napley partner Stephen Pollard.
Topics will include conditional fee agreements, the changing demands on heads of chambers, the impact of the Woolf reforms and how to secure work for junior tenants.
The event will be held on Tuesday 8 June at the Howard Hotel in London and, says Owen, promises to provide practical advice for heads of chambers, barristers and chambers managers.
