Michael Charles Parker, admitted 1975, practising in Wirksworth, Derbyshire, fined £1,000 and ordered to pay £989 costs. Allegations substantiated he was guilty of delay in administration of estate, guilty of delay in conduct of professional business and failed to reply to letters from SCB. Tribunal said fine would have been higher but for Parker's impecuniosity.

Robert Walter Hood Richmond, 51, admitted 1971, practised in partnership with Richmond & Partners, Wembley, Middlesex, struck off and ordered to pay £508 costs. Allegations substantiated that he misappropriated client funds and used them for his own purposes. Investigation accountant found minimum shortage of £119,716 on client account.

Paula Hall, secretary for 10 years for Messrs Marcus-Barnett, banned from working for further solicitors without written consent from Law Society and ordered to pay £384 costs. Allegations substantiated she was responsible for deception involving false payments to outdoor clerks involving £30,000. She was also said to have stolen safe deposit box containing £600 worth of jewellery from one of the firm's probate clients.

Christopher Grundy, 42, admitted 1985, practising as Grundy & Co, Sheffield, fined £5,000 and ordered to pay £2,369 costs. Allegations substantiated he wrongly drew and used client money and failed to comply with professional undertakings. Grundy had been guilty of creating great muddle in respect of recording clients' money and had allowed the situation to continue.

Phillip Clive Meredith, 45, admitted 1980, practised at material times as Clive Meredith & Co, Swansea, fined £1,000 and ordered to pay £1,588 costs. Allegations substantiated he wrongly drew and used client money and failed to comply with accounting rules.
