Weightmans’ former head of planning and environment John Holmes has found a new home at Pannone & Partners.
Holmes’s departure from Weightmans was announced in January, following the firm’s decision to restructure its corporate and commercial strategy. He joins Pannones along with a clutch of other new hires and partner promotions.
As well as Holmes, Pannones recruited Mace & Jones’s head of clinical negligence, Melanie Rowles, in April. Additional new partners include Rob Fawke, previously an assistant at Halliwells; John Gollaglee, an associate in business crime at DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary; and Emma Judge, a construction associate from Addleshaw Goddard.
The firm has also made three internal promotions to equity partner and six to salaried partner status. A further 24 new fee-earners have also been recruited to Pannones’ team across the firm’s practice areas. Pannone now has 83 partners and 181 other fee-earners.
The hires follow a strong financial year for Pannones, which saw average profit per equity partner rise 10 per cent from £222,000 to £245,000.
Joy Kingsley, Pannones’ managing partner, said the appointments would enable the firm to offer increased strength in depth.
