Aberdeen-based oil and gas firm Ledingham Chalmers is to open an office in London to provide an additional service to its energy clients.

David Laing, managing partner said: “London is the location of choice for many oil companies and service providers and we will therefore be closer to our clients there.”

Sandy Shaw, who has worked as a senior executive at Mobil Oil, Esso Petroleum Company and LASMO has been appointed as a consultant in the new Mayfair office.

Oil and gas partner Jane Chester, will move to the London office with consultant Paul McGoldrick and associate John McSparren. Head of the oil and gas team Bob Ruddiman will work out of both London and Aberdeen.

Ledingham Chalmers has 44 partners and offices in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Inverness, Baku, Istanbul and Stanley in the Falkland Islands.
