Gary Gallen joins the firm’s Manchester office as a business and regulatory investigations partner from Yorkshire-based Andrew Jackson, where he was head of corporate investigations and governance.
RJW has been looking to fill a gap in its white-collar crime team since Eversheds poached its Manchester fraud head Neill Blundell (The Lawyer, 6 May 2008).
Traditionally the firm has been reluctant to promote into its equity partnership, let alone place outside hires into it. In 2003 at least three top-level equity partners lost accumulated lockstep points at the firm.
Chief executive Neil Kinsella said: “Our business can benefit from introducing the highest-calibre individuals or teams from other firms to help us achieve our goals.”
