Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy litigation partner William Spiegelberger has joined White & Case, where he will head up the Moscow litigation department.
His return to White & Case after five years at Milbank marks a continuation of his new firm’s efforts to build up its litigation capacity, particularly in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.
Spiegelberger, a fluent German and Russian speaker, has considerable arbitration experience in construction, foreign investment, forward and open contracts and sale-and-purchase agreements.
The new arrival at White & Case’s Moscow office brings the number of partners there to six.
Last August the firm promoted capital markets lawyer Alexandra Rutstein and corporate and M&A lawyer Eric Michailov to the partnership.
