Addleshaw Goddard has forged an international trainee exchange programme on the back of its best friend relationship with Hong Kong firm Johnson Stokes & Master.The six-month exchange programme, which is nearing the completion of its first term, will be reviewed with the two trainees involved to gauge its success, although the firms have already agreed another exchange in September 2006. The trainees have spent most of their time in the firms’ corporate departments, while expanding their knowledge of the regions and firm cultures. Addleshaws graduate recruitment manager Brett Galloway said feedback so far had been positive and there was potential scope to increase the number of trainees put on exchange. “It fosters the firm’s Asian connection and the feedback we’ve received has been that our trainee has been working hard and enjoying the experience,” said Galloway. Meanwhile, Addleshaws has expanded its Easter vacation scheme for 2006 after a successful pilot in Leeds last year. The firm will now take 12 students for Easter in each of its offices in Leeds, London and Manchester.
