Beachcroft Wansbroughs has lost its head of intellectual property (IP) and an assistant to Field Fisher Waterhouse.
Jonathan Radcliffe was headhunted to lead Field Fisher’s patents practice and moves with his assistant Annabel Dumbell. Beachcrofts partner Alan Wood says the role of IP head is currently being shared, while a decision is being made on who should succeed Radcliffe.
Head of Field Fisher’s IP/IT litigation group Nick Rose says: “Jonathan’s task will be to develop a strong patent litigation practice to complement our more traditional strengths in trademark and copyright disputes.” The hires create a team of four partners and eight assistants specialising exclusively in IP and technology disputes.
Radcliffe says he is taking his practice with him to Field Fisher, with clients that include DaimlerChrysler, FTSE-listed Glynwed Pipe Systems, Dualit and Sotheby’s. He is also taking three ongoing patent actions and two trademark actions.
