LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae has expanded in Asia with the launch of a Hong Kong office.
The firm will work in affiliation with local firm Arthur Marriott & Associates, with the LeBoeuf office headed jointly by partners William Marcoux and Daniel Liew.
LeBoeuf plans to have a team of 20 lawyers based in the Hong Kong office by the end of this year, practising US, English and Hong Kong law.
LeBoeuf chairman Steven Davis said: “The growth and economic globalisation in the pan-Asian market makes this the perfect time for the firm to continue expanding its footprint.”
The firm, which already has an office in Beijing, will focus on energy, insurance, corporate, finance and dispute resolution in the new office.
Last week www.thelawyer.com (28 August) revealed that LeBoeuf is merging with Dewey Ballantine next month, subject to a shareholder vote.
