Linklaters has bid a succinct farewell to the former head of its New York office upon her Manhattan transfer to Thelen Reid & Priest.
Marianne Rosenburg, who joined Linklaters five years ago from White & Case, was head of the New York general finance practice, co-head of the asset finance group and head of the office. Linklaters partner Stephen Land took over running the New York office earlier this year.
The firm’s partners were notified internally late on Friday afternoon (31 October) via an email from Linklaters senior partner Anthony Cann.
It read: “Marianne Ros-enburg has announced she is leaving the partnership to join Thelen Reid & Priest as from next Monday. I wish her well for the future. Anthony.”
Rosenburg said: “It’s a great opportunity. I now have a full service firm to work with and that makes a huge difference.” Also at Thelen Reid is Truman Bidwell, who worked with Rosenburg at Linklaters and was one of the original team of four that left White & Case’s New York office for the UK magic circle firm in 1998.
Linklaters declined to comment.
