DLA has swooped on DJ Freeman's property department, winning over property finance head John Clark, and three of his fellow partners.
Joining Clark at DLA will be fellow partners Terry Green, Stephen O'Brien and Helen Dyer. It is understood that a number of assistants are also set to join DLA, although the final head count is still being negotiated.
At the same time, DJ Freeman's head of property litigation Vivienne King has decided to retire from the firm. The Lawyer understands that King, who is moving out of the London area, will work in some capacity for Bond Pearce.
DJ Freeman chief executive Laurence Harris said he was sad to see King leave. He added: “She has made an excellent contribution to the practice for several years.”
