The Utah state capital is one of the technology centres that has exploded outside Silicon Valley. Others include Austin in Texas, Boulder and Denver in Colorado and Dorsey & Whitney’s home city of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The chairman of Dorsey’s capital markets practice group Jeff Hurlburt says: “[The new team] were at a New York firm that is more known for insurance and non-technology related work and we have hired a group that specialises in technology-related capital markets work.
“We think that they are the best team in that market for capital markets-related work.”
