The Swedish Bar, which is firmly opposed to multidisciplinary practices, has acted swiftly in response to the defection of seven lawyers from the Gothenberg office of leading Swedish practice Lagerlof & Leman to set up their own KPMG-affiliated firm. The Bar ordered KPMG Wahlin to drop the KPMG from its name and has refused to enter it in the 1998 Swedish Bar directory. The firm has agreed to drop the offending letters from its name.
