New York firm Dreier has signed an alliance with London boutique SK Sport and Entertainment to advise US sports figures in the UK and Europe.

The two firms celebrated their alliance with a gala party last week, where lawyers mixed with linebackers from American football teams New York Giants and Miami Dolphins before their match at Wembley.

SK Sport founder Jeremy Summers said: “We think this game illustrates the global nature of the sports market and the opportunities for athletes and sports on both sides of the Atlantic. Our international partnership with Dreier makes us better able to serve our clients in the international sports market.”

The relationship will see the two firms sharing clients and expertise. Dreier was founded in 1996 and now numbers 175 lawyers focused on litigation, employment and IP issues. SK Sport and Entertainment is based in London and specializes in IP, media and sports work.
