Eversheds_office.jpg” alt=”Eversheds stalwart Viv Du-Feu quits for Welsh firm” />Eversheds head of international employment Viv Du-Feu has left the firm for Welsh-based commercial firm Capital Law.

Du-Feu, who became a partner in 1984 and has established one of the largest employment law groups in the UK, joins Capital law as an equity partner, bringing the Welsh firm’s partnership to twelve and its equity partnership to four.

The renowned employment big hitter leaves Eversheds as he was looking for a new challenge – to grow a successful business. Du-Feu plans to develop Capital Law’s business in both the firm’s Cardiff and London offices.

He said: “These are just my sort of guys – ambitious, forward thinking and team playing. The opportunity to join Capital Law was highly compelling.”

Chris Nott, Capital Law’s senior partner, said Du-Feu is a man with a truly awesome reputation.

“I expect firms up and down the country will be extremely envious that Viv chose to join us over the larger, more traditional firms,” said Nott.

Eversheds issued a statement: “Viv Du-Feu, formerly head of international employment, is no longer a partner at the firm.

“Viv’s former role is not continuing in the same guise. Since his departure, coordination of human resource group’s international and pan-European employment work is now led by Stefan Corbanie from Eversheds’ Brussels office.”
