Two equity partners at 33-partner Donne Mileham & Haddock have left in a dispute over new strategy.
Michael Bailey, a top commercial property expert in the South East, and his partner in the department Simon Alldis, have left “by mutual agreement” with the firm.
Donne Mileham is stopping partners working outside their key areas and reorganising the way profits are shared.
Head of commercial property Martin Allen says: “Many firms work on some sort of plateau arrangement when you get to a certain level.”
Partners will be subject to yearly assessments based on fee-earning and what business they have introduced.
Bailey and Alldis were unavailable to comment, but are said to be considering continuing their careers elsewhere.
