Injuries: Head injuries resulting in claimant, a carpenter, who prior to accident was an extrovert, becoming reclusive and having limited social circle; his future in employment and in his social life "blighted"; serious intellectual deficits, including poor concentration and memory; five years after the accident there is no real hope of further substantial recovery

Cremins v Millar – QBD 8 July 1996

Injuries: Claimant was passenger in car driven by defendant; vehicle ran out of control and ended up on its roof; claimant initially suffered severe and life-threatening cerebral injuries which required extensive neuro-surgery but made good recovery; however he subsequently developed traumatic stress disorder
