The University of Hertfordshire's department of law is co-hosting a major international conference with the Commonwealth Magistrates and Judges' Association. The Lord Chief Justice will address the conference on the media and the judiciary. Called 'Images of justice – differing perceptions', the event will be held from 14 to 17 April in St Albans, the Cathedral town where the university has recently moved its law department. The department enjoyed a strong turn-out for a talk given by High Court Family Division president Sir Stephen Brown at the annual James Kingham memorial lecture earlier this month. The lecture was inaugurated to commemorate Judge Kingham's contribution to the community.
