The Law Lords have agreed to take a further look at the case of Winston Brown, convicted in 1993 of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm. Brown says the credibility of defence witnesses at his trial was damaged in cross-examination by production of police evidence not previously disclosed. The House of Lords will be asked to decide whether this constituted a material irregularity.
