South East law firm DMH Stallard has captured two new partners for its public law and corporate finance teams.
Melanie Carter joins DMH as head of the public law division from London firm Bindman & Partners. Carter has extensive experience in public law, particularly investigations into corporate governance matters.
Recent work includes advising Westminster City Council on the homes for votes controversy. Carter has also worked at Mayer Brown Rowe & Maw.
DMH has also recruited Stephen Clow from Campbell Hooper. Clow specialises in corporate and banking law, with a focus on stock market flotations and M&A. He will be based in the firm’s London office, which DMH acquired through its merger with Stallard Solicitors at the start of the year.
The appointments are in addition to three internal partner promotions: Sarah Birbeck of the innovation and media team, commercial litigator James Colvin and employment lawyer Jenny Thorp.
