Following on from the recent story about BBC2’s The Apprentice (14 March) in The Lawyer, it appears that former Herbert Smith corporate partner Margaret Mountford is not the only legal connection in the programme.
One of the contestants, James Max, last seen impersonating Borat on last week’s winning team, is the son of none other than Michael Max, one of the former senior partners of Dechert (well, Titmuss Sainer & Webb as was). Not only that, but he’s the brother of Richard Max, eponymous head of planning boutique Richard Max & Co.
With connections such as these, Jimmy’s surely raising his chances of winning to the… er… max.
