Lawrence Graham‘s business recovery team has rounded off a productive few months in the retail sector with an instruction on the controversial Gadget Shop administration.
The firm currently has roles on the administrations of Allders, Courts and Pilot.
Gadget Shop’s administrator PKF turned to Lawrence Graham thanks to a long-term relationship with partner John Verrill, with partner Nick Pike leading the deal.
A bitter dispute between the Gadget Shop’s co-owners – Freeserve creator Peter Wilkinson and UBS trader John Wood on one side and Scottish entrepreneurs Tom Hunter and Chris Gorman on the other – has put the deal in the media spotlight.
Hammonds is advising Wilkinson and Wood while McGrigors is advising Hunter and Gorman.
