The Rockefeller Foundation has hired a new general counsel, taking US media company NBC Universal’s corporate legal head, Shari Patrick.
As general counsel at the Rockefeller Foundation, Patrick will be responsible for all legal matters and serve as the corporate secretary to the Foundation’s board of trustees.
Before joining NBC Universal, Patrick was general counsel at Comedy Central. She also previously worked at Home Box Office as litigation counsel and Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison as an associate in the litigation group.
Judith Rodin, president of the Rockefeller Foundation, said: “The Foundation is delighted to welcome Shari Patrick’s wise counsel, extensive experience and solid judgment. She will be a valued addition to our management team.”
The Rockefeller Foundation was established in 1913 by John Rockefeller Sr, to “promote the wellbeing of mankind throughout the world”. It has around $4bn in assets under its control.
