DLA Piper‘s graduate recruitment team has joined the YouTube generation and launched an internal social networking site for its future trainees.
The portal is very similar to other social networking sites such as Facebook, but DLA has called it “Inside the Tent”.
DLA head of graduate recruitment Sally Carthy said: “DLA Piper has always placed great importance on keeping in regular contact with its future trainees. We want people to feel part of the organisation as soon as they accept a training contract with us.”
“Inside the Tent” also allows DLA’s graduate recruitment team to communicate more easily with its future trainees. The team will post regular updates, as well as news about the firm, and advertise forthcoming firm events and social activities.
DLA said that the site will also be great for the environment as the firm will not have to send out paper based mail-shots to its future lawyers anymore.
