Everything Everywhere general counsel and company secretary James Blendis has completed the restructuring of his 45-strong legal team, with three lawyers each from Orange and T-Mobile winning top roles.
The integration of Orange’s and T-Mobile’s legal operations kicked off when the merger that created Everything Everywhere went live on 1 July 2010.
Blendis, who was general counsel and company secretary at T-Mobile, now oversees six legal divisions.
Legacy T-Mobile lawyer Lisa Ball has been given the role of director of consumer legal affairs, while Matthew Redding and Guy Perring, also from the T-Mobile side of the tie-up, have become director of joint ventures and partnerships and director of dispute resolution respectively.
From the Orange team, Colin Caldwell becomes director of legal governance, Tom Speed has taken on the director of business legal affairs role and Sonia Bellamy has become director of operational legal affairs.
The legal team is based across the company’s offices in Bristol, Hatfield and London.
As reported by The Lawyer last year (19 July 2010), Orange UK general counsel Alexander Lunshof moved into a senior role in the legal team of parent company France Telecom following the merger.
