Music promoter AEG Live, which has artists such as Beyoncé and Justin Timberlake on its books, has created the new role of general counsel and promoted one of its in-house lawyers to the position.
AEG ;Live ;has ;also expanded its legal team with a hire from music industry group the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
Luke Flynn will oversee the ;AEG ;Live ;legal department as general counsel after joining 18 months ago from Sony. Chris Kangis has joined as legal counsel from the BPI.
Jessica Koravos, managing director of AEG Live, said: “As AEG Live continues to expand across Europe and the Middle East, it’s imperative that we have a legal team who can react and adapt to the ever-evolving development of the company.”
Flynn and Kangis will work together on the legal matters surrounding the promotion and touring of artists including Kanye West, Mary J Blige and Bon Jovi.
