Dublin firm Whitney Moore & Keller has elected litigation partner Gerry Carroll as its new managing partner

Carroll replaces the retiring incumbent Paul Hayes, who moves upstairs to the largely ceremonial senior partner role.
The firm will also take over 655 square metres of floorspace from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), with which it currently shares a floor. PwC will temporarily occupy part of the space, while Whitney Moore & Keller recruits new staff.
The firm has not decided how many new lawyers to recruit, but Hayes said he expected it to be at least six.
Hayes, who held the post of managing partner for four years, said that he “decided it was time for a younger man to fill the role”. Carroll stood uncontested for the role. Hayes will now spend more time on his commercial property and insolvency practice.
