Pinsents hires trio to boost client service

Pinsent Masons has created three new business manager roles to help partners improve client service after the firm received feedback from clients that they wanted greater transparency in billing.

Clients told the firm they wanted more dialogue during the advisory process and to be given notice if costs are likely to increase.

The managers are embedded in individual practice groups and provide direct assistance to partners on efficiency issues, such as working out how much to charge clients on pitches and appropriate partner to associate ratios, as well as advising group heads on financial planning and how much they should recruit.

Pinsents has hired Carolyn Stanton from Berwin Leighton Paisner, Suzanne Wingate from Denton Wilde Sapte and Jonathan Letchfield, formerly of PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM, to fill the positions.
