According to reports, City Rhodes, that bastion of Square Mile gluttony, is set to close in the Summer. Apparently Sodexho, the French catering company that went into partnership with spikey-haired TV poppet Gary Rhodes, are parting ways. So far the Manchester restaurant has closed and Edinburgh is next on the list.
All of this is a bit baffling, however, since City Rhodes is often packed and, according to The Lawyer's very own Christmas survey, the eatery was the fourth favourite among you City types.
So those lawyers who are distraught at the demise of the best chocolate puddings in the City, Tulkinghorn suggests you get down there quick and eat like an American. You know it makes sense.
