The legal profession is abundant with 'am-dram' talent, but Dechert seems to be taking things even further.
The firm has just hired litigator Edward McDonald, the man who shared the screen with Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta and Joe Pesci in Martin Scorcese's classic crime drama GoodFellas.
As all good film buffs will know, McDonald played himself in the film, as head of the US Department of Justice's Organized Crime Strike Force in New York.
Among his prosecutions were the gangsters who carried out the 1978 robbery of the Lufthansa cargo terminal at JFK International Airport, which was dramatised in GoodFellas.
McDonald's film career didn't end there: he also played a federal prosecutor in 1995's Kiss of Death. One cannot help wondering what he'll do next.
