Cardiff set 9 Park Place’s head of chambers Ian Murphy QC has been taken on as a tenant at Farrar’s Building.
Murphy, who left 9 Park Place at the end of June, becomes the sixth new tenant at Farrar’s this year,
The highly regarded barrister was called to the bar in 1972 and took silk in 1992. Murphy was made a recorder in 1990.
Murphy, who specialises in both personal injury and crime, will continue to grow and expand his practise at Farrar’s.
Patrick Harrington QC, head of chambers at Farrar’s, said the set was delighted that Murphy was joining them.
“We’ve had a very successful year in terms of recruitment and this is the cherry on the cake,” Harrington. “I’ve no doubt that with people of Ian’s calibre, chambers will continue to go from strength to strength.”
