Hunton & Williams has taken on the Bangkok office of disintegrating US firm Coudert Brothers.
Two partners, Stephen Bennett and Surasak Vajasit, and a team of 12 associates joined Coudert from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in September 2004.
The pair were offered positions at DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary in June, but opted to stay with Coudert.
Hunton & Williams Thailand practice managing partner Edward B. Koehler said the additions would enhance the firm’s regional and global business support strategies.
“Both of these lawyers are prominent practitioners and are well-known and respected in the Thai legal community.”
Bennett’s experience covers project finance and infrastructure, capital markets and securities, and M&A.
Vajasit’s practice covers finance, restructuring and insolvency and international arbitration.
