Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) has continued on its aggressive hiring spree by taking on its second new partner in as many weeks.

James Klein, who will become a partner in the corporate finance department, joins BLP from US firm Arnold & Porter, where he was a senior associate.

His historic clients include Tate & Lyle and Nasdaq. Klein’s hire follows quick on the heels of Liesl Fichardt’s, a prominent partner at Dorsey & Whitney’s London office, who joins BLP’s tax practice.

This is the third lateral partner hire into the corporate finance group.

Meanwhile, the group got no new partners in the last round of partner promotions and just one associate director. That role was introduced last year as a step between senior associate and partner.
