Top biller Wheldon unites with kitchen multi-millionaire client Malcolm Healey

Addleshaw Booth & Co corporate finance partner Tim Wheldon will leave the firm at the beginning of February next year.
His amicable departure, following 12 years as a partner at the national firm, will allow him to take up a new role with longstanding client Malcolm Healey. Wheldon will work alongside Healey, developing and managing his private and business interests.
Wheldon said: “I've had 12 great years at Addleshaws and am now looking forward to this new challenge. I anticipate maintaining strong links with the firm and my many friends there, and will continue my association with the business as a consultant.”
While at Addleshaws, Wheldon has held prominent positions, as head of the corporate finance department and as a member of the firm's board. He is one of Addleshaws' biggest billers and has led some of its most complex transactions, particularly for key client 3i.
Addleshaws senior partner Paul Lee said: “Tim's made a huge contribution to the success of the practice that is today Addleshaw Booth & Co, and his particular contribution will be sadly missed by his partners, staff and clients.
“I wish Tim every success in his move, which I believe he is uniquely equipped to deal with, and I'm also looking forward to working with him as a client.”
Healey is one of the UK's wealthiest individuals, having made his fortune from kitchen units. He set up Humber Kitchens in the 1970s. One name change to Hygena and nearly 20 years later, Healey sold his company to MFI in a deal reputed to have made him £200m.
Having sold Hygena, Healey left the UK for the US. Here he formed Mill's Pride, a kitchen manufacturing company. He sold Mill's Pride two years ago and moved back to England. He returned to the UK market in partnership with Lord King to set up United Kitchens, which went into administration last year.
