Birmingham-based Wragge & Co will promote two associates to the partnership this year.
Pensions lawyer Paul Feathers and tax lawyer Neil Pearson will take up their new roles on 1 May.
Managing partner Quentin Poole said: “Pensions and tax fulfil a dual role. They generate high-quality standalone work and underpin the firm’s wider ability to service large corporate, finance and real estate deals.”
Feathers joined Wragges as a trainee and qualified in the pensions team in 2002. He provides advice to clients such as the Rolls-Royce Pension Fund and the Resolution Group Pension Scheme. He will become the firm’s sixth partner in the pensions group.
Pearson joined the firm in 2000 and acts for clients including 3i Group, Interserve and Homeserve. He will becomes the firm’s third tax partner.
The two lawyers will join the partnership on the same day that current partners Stephen Braithwaite (corporate finance), Kevin Barrett (construction) and Maria Collingridge (insolvency) retire.
The partnership will balance out at 109 members.
