Eversheds chairman Alan Jenkins has been re-elected to serve a second three-year term.
Jenkins was re-elected unopposed and will sit alongside Eversheds’ chief executive David Gray.
Jenkins told The Lawyer: “My particular focus is pushing forward on the international front, which is still a work in progress, as it probably always will be. The market never stands still and the more you expand the more opportunities you create.”
Jenkins was head of international at Eversheds before becoming chair three years ago. The firm has made great strides internationally during that period. During the last six months the firm has opened in Qatar and Shanghai.
Jenkins also highlighted London as a priority and building a higher profile in the public and private sectors.
“One of the things I’ve enjoyed doing, is getting involved in circles and networks where I can open doors for my colleagues. You only need to look at the budget to see how important the public sector is,” said Jenkins.
