Law Society appeal upheld in Bahl case

The Court of Appeal has today (Friday 30 July) upheld the Employment Appeal Tribunal’s finding that the Law Society did not discriminate against former president elect Kamlesh Bahl on grounds of race and sex.

The Law Society was represented by Herbert Smith employment partner Peter Frost, instructing Paul Goulding QC of Blackstone Chambers.

Former Law Society officers Robert Sayer and Jane Betts were advised by Fox Williams’ senior partner Ronnie Fox and litigation partner John Greager, who instructed Ingrid Simler of Devereux Chambers.
