Leading City shipping firm Ince & Co is poaching Richards Butler's partnerin charge of
admiralty law in Hong Kong.Harry Hirst is returning to Ince & Co where he worked as an
assistant inHong Kong and its London office from 1989 until 1997.Hirst joined Richards
Butler in 1997. He will re-join Ince & Co's HongKong office as an assistant.He is a
qualified lawyer in England and Hong Kong, and he spent 14 yearsat sea. He also has a
degree in nautical studies.Kevan McGregor is joining Ince & Co's London office as a
marine manager.He spent the last eight years working for BP shipping where he
commandedliquid national gas carriers, product and crude oil carriers.James Wilson, head
of admiralty law at Ince & Co, says: “If legaldirectories are to be believed, we are
seen as the leading shipping firm inthe world.”In order to maintain that position we
cannot sit back.We need to bringnew blood into the firm, especially people with seagoing
experience.”
