Greenberg rejigs management team

Greenberg Traurig chief executive office, Cesar Alvarez, has been appointed firm wide executive chairman.

Greenberg Traurig chief executive officer Cesar Alvarez has been appointed firm-wide executive chairman.

Alvarez, who takes up his new role in January 2010, will work alongside firm chairman Larry Hoffman and president Matthew Gorson on helping focus Greenberg’s international growth prospects.

The firm’s current president Richard Rosenbaum has been elected as its new chief executive officer.

Alvarez said: “During the next year, Richard and I will work together to make sure this change of roles in 2010 is as seamless to the firm as it was when I assumed the CEO role from Larry Hoffman.”

Earlier today reported that Greenberg had announced a 0.25 per cent increase in revenue to $1.2bn while profits per equity partner (PEP) grew by 0.5 per cent to $1.31m during the 2008 financial year (26 January 2009).
