Farrer & Co has moved to bolster its commercial property team with a pair of senior lateral partner hires, with a third partner also joining to boost its commercial disputes practice.
Robin Holmes will join the firm from Travers Smith’s property practice, where he was a partner for 25 years. Clive Lovatt has joined from Addleshaw Goddard, where he had previously headed the firm’s construction group.
Meanwhile, Simmons & Simmons partner Gavin Bacon has joined Farrers’ commercial litigation team as a partner.
Partner Adam Walker commented: “This is a conscious decision to take advantage of the current situation [in the market] and look around at what’s on offer.”
In addition to the new hires, Farrers has promoted five to its partnership and welcomed back family partner Veryan Exelby after a career break.
