Hammonds has strengthened its tax offering with the hire of a tax accountant from DLA Piper.
Michael McCormack joins Hammonds as a director of tax, having previously worked for Ernst & Young and the Irish Revenue before DLA Piper.
McCormack will advise Hammonds’ clients on corporate and commercial tax issues, as well as helping the team to grow in the City.
Hammonds’ tax strategies team is led by London-based partner Bernhard Gilbey, but also includes partners in the firm’s regional offices.
Gilbey said McCormack’s hire was part of Hammonds’ commitment to offer a wider range of advice to clients than “technical backroom advice”.
