Lisbon law firm F Castelo Branco & Associados has split after one of the founding partners quit to start up another new firm with seven of the firm’s lawyers.
Rui Carlos Colmonero, a highly rated specialist in the tourism and travel industry, has called his firm RCA Colmonero & Associados.
The firm will specialise in employment, tax and corporate advice in the travel sector and will be based in Lisbon.
Colmonero launched his firm with its first hire, taking senior associate Rita Lufinha Borges from Abreu Cardigos & Associados.
The seven lawyers that went with him were Isabel Vieira (a tax partner with experience working at Ernst & Young), Marta da Silva Pinto, Pedro Lourenço, Pedro Monteiro dos Santos, José Coutinho Viana, Madalena Moreira dos Santos and Patrícia Simões Rocha.
