Freeth Cartwright has hired Peter Hanson as a partner in its commercial property team. Hanson joins from Davies Arnold Cooper, where he was an equity partner.

Commercial law firm Beachcroft has appointed Anne Harrison as an associate (barrister) in its Bristol-based real estate team. Harrison joins from the Environment Agency, where she was in-house counsel.

Southampton-based Paris Smith & Randall has hired banking and real estate finance lawyer James McNeil as an associate in its commercial group. McNeil was previously an associateat Addleshaw Goddard in London.

Paris-based firm De Pardieu Brocas Maffei has appointed Stephane Marletti as a partner in its employment law group. Marletti joins from Clifford Chance‘s Paris office, where he was co-head of the employment law team.

Edinburgh-based property firm Bell & Scott has promoted Ruth Maclean to its partnership. Maclean was previously an associate with the firm.

Newcastle’s Sintons has hired Suzanna Maddison as an assistant in its industrial disease team. Maddison was previously an assistant at Leeds firm Ison Harrison.

Sailsbury and Southampton firm Trethowans has appointed Rob Chapman as a partner in its commercial property team. Chapman joins from Southampton firm Clarke Willmott, where he was partner.

Hunton & Williams has hired two partners, Robert Lockwood and Eric Hanson, from US firm Smith Gambrell & Russell for its Atlanta IP team.

Hewitsons Solicitors has hired barrister Chris Knight to join its charities group. Knight was previously with Birmingham-based firm Anthony Collins Solicitors.

Dispute resolution firm Coyle White Devine has promoted head of property litigation David Sheahan to the partnership. At the same time the firm has hired Jackie Revell as an associate from City firm Steeles.

Howes Percival has appointed Emily Drake as an assistant in the commercial litigation team. Drake previously worked at the London office of Osborne Clarke.

Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker has hired John Douglas and Chris Daniel as partner and of counsel respectively from Alston & Bird. Douglas, who previously led Alston’s bank regulatory practice, will launch a global bank regulatory practice for Paul Hastings.
