Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe has strengthened its New York office with a double partner hire from Katten Muchin Rosenman.
The firm has brought in real estate partners Marc Shapiro and Jill Block, following on from the capture of former Weil Gotshal & Manges partner Alan Pomerantz in May from real estate investment company ERE Advisors.
Shapiro was head of real estate at Katten Muchin, with a practice focused on structured property finance.
Block advises lenders and investors in property financing deals.
Global property head William Murray Jr said: “Their addition greatly complements and enhances our real estate capabilities in New York as well as around the globe.
“Their expertise in hospitality properties also adds an important strength to our practice.”
