Mace & Jones’ former head of clinical negligence and managing partner of its Knutsford office Melanie Rowles is to join Pannone & Partners. Pannone head of clinical negligence John Kitchinghman said: “We’re looking forward to Melanie joining our team and adding her areas of expertise and interest.”
Scottish firm Dundas & Wilson has promoted three senior associates to partner. They are employment lawyer Mandy Laurie, retail development property specialist Allan Wernham and Alistair Hill, a pensions expert. Dundas managing partner Chris Campbell said: “We’ve made two lateral hires at partner level already in 2005, so I’m delighted to announce these three internal promotions.” The appointments are effective from 1 May and bring the number of partners to 71.
Collyer-Bristow has promoted associate Silvia Fazio to the partnership. In doing so, Fazio has become what is believed to be the first Brazilian-qualified lawyer to become a partner in a London law firm. Fazio, who is also head of international business, practises principally in international commercial law. She is qualified in the UK, Brazil, Italy and Portugal.
Wilmslow personal injury (PI) practice Bott & Co has appointed Mike Hankinson as a partner. Hankinson specialises in defendant personal injury law and joins from Keoghs. His work encompasses road traffic accident, public liability and employer’s liability cases.
Rowe Cohen has bolstered its partnership with the appointment of a new partner from Donns. Howard Burns is a specialist in wills, trusts and probate and estate planning. Managing partner Graham Small said: “Howard’s joined to help ensure Rowe Cohen meets the increasing demands from our commercial clients. It will enhance and complement the service we can offer our clients.”
